Who should American "Hot Dog" Lovers Thank?

The Greeks point to Homer's Odyssey where he mentions a filled sausage. The Italians insist Emperor Nero Claudius Caesar's cook, Gaius, invented the first wiener. The Germans point to the words "Frankfurter" and "hot dog" and claim they not only invented the "hot dog", they gave it it's nickname by calling the "Frankfurter" a "dachshund", little-dog. They brought their favorite sausage-like dog and snack food to America. The Austrians point to the word "wiener" and say the first "hot dog" was made in Vienna (Wien). Whoever the inventor, Speedy Stop's "hot dogs" are plump, juicy, and ready to serve. We choose only flavorful hot dogs of the choicest ingredients.
